A Week of Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Greenville is still buzzing from the first annual #StartupGVL Week.

The week-long celebration of entrepreneurship and innovation was a coordinated effort between the City of Greenville and some of its partners in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

We asked founders to get social with us on Day 1.

Selfie with Your Startup was a great success.

On Day 2 of #StartupGVL Week, Furman's latest GVL Starts class showed out in an exciting and well-supported Demo Day. Three startups walked way with $5,000.

Check out our GVL Starts wrap-up video below.

On Day 3, Flywheel held its first Tech Slam 'N Eggs event in Greenville.

The breakfast event took place in a room designed by Workplace Architecture and Design, owned by Flywheel founding partner Peter Marsh.

Flywheel's Greenville co-working space is under construction. It will be part of the Crescent Startup Community, which will also house several entrepreneurial support organizations.

On Day 4 of #StartupGVL Week, NEXT Upstate knocked it out of the park with its first annual NEXT Launchpad event. Service providers gave away more than $100K in prizes during the celebration. See what all the buzz is about in our wrap-up video below.

The City of Greenville hosted Day 5 of #StartupGVL Week with a Toast to Innovation by Councilwoman Dorothy Dowe.

Learn more about that and all of the events in this wrap up of #StartupGVL Week video from Loren Thomas.
